I was invited by The Void VR to experience their virtual reality offerings. All opinions are my own.

Earlier this summer, I had the opportunity to experience one of the coolest things ever outside of a Disney Park. People are always asking me what do when they aren’t in the parks, and I have to say that The Void tops that list for me. So what is it? Where is it? Most importantly, is it worth your time and money? Read on for everything you need to know! The Void building in Disney Springs is located near Once Upon a Toy.

What is The Void VR?

What is The Void VR experience? It’s really like nothing else I’ve ever done before. Yeah, I’ve experienced 3D movies and 4D rides, but it is somuch. more. than that! Last week, I was able to check out their newest experience “Ralph Breaks VR,” and it was just as awesome as “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire” that I experienced earlier in the summer!

Where is The Void located?

First, let’s begin by giving you all the details about when, where, and cost. I’ve only visited The Void at Disney Springs, but there is also a location in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California as well as other locations around the US, Canada, and Malaysia.Checking out The Void with TMOMS and TDADs.To get to The Void at Disney Springs, you’ll want to head to the Marketplace area. How Much Does The Void cost?

One experience in The Void will cost you $29.95 plus tax on average, though some prices vary by location. I think this is a fair price for the experience, especially considering all the gear and technology  you will use throughout the experience.Netizen cards for Ralph Breaks VR.At Disney Springs, you can choose between trying out “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire” or “Ralph Breaks VR.”

Details About The Void

How far in advance can you book? Who can experience The Void? Those questions all depend on the time of year, experience, and age of the guest.

Everyone must be at least 48 inches tall and 10 years old to participate. My kids were super sad they weren’t old enough yet, but I totally understand the reasoning. The VR equipment is heavy on me, and I’m an adult! I can’t imagine it would be easy for my seven year olds to manage, much less walk around and enjoy the experience. What is the Void VR? It's a fun experience outside Disney Parks.Next, hours of operation for The Void at Disney Springs are 10am-11pm (11:30pm on Friday and Saturday), with the last group beginning their game at 10:45pm (or 11:15pm on the weekend). If you’re wanting to do this at night, I recommend booking a day or two in advance. Spots will fill up quickly with folks looking for a fun weekend or after work activity!

Which Experience is Better?

Having tried both the Star Wars and Wreck It Ralph games, it really comes down to which fandom you really love more. Star Wars is a bit darker as you are disguised as a Stormtrooper sneaking into a First Order base, and it involves shooting your way out.Ralph Breaks VR now at The Void at Disney Springs.Ralph and Vanellope guide you through fun games while you’re in the internet with them, and it’s definitely a little more family friendly. My brother and husband played “Ralph Breaks VR” with me, and they said they would definitely do it again and try “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire” next time.

Give Me More of The Void

Finally, I bet you’re wondering what makes this worth you time and money. It’s really hard to describe unless you try it for yourself. With all of the equipment on, you are literally transported to another world, and not just with some cheap 3D glasses. Everyone’s only complaint about the whole game was that it didn’t last long enough. Neil and I are super competitive, and he edged out my score in the very last room of the game. I guess I’ll have to go back to The Void again soon so I can beat him at his own game! What is The Void VR? It is an experience like no other!
