The Best Snacks at Universal Orlando
Orlando theme parks are well known for their specialty food offerings during festivals and special events, but did you know they have incredible food offerings year-round too? Universal Orlando Resort is one of those theme parks you can count on for great food whenever you visit. These are the top 10 best snacks at Universal Orlando everyone will love.
1. Frozen Butterbeer in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
It isn’t the Wizarding World of Harry Potter unless you have indulged in their most iconic snack. Butterbeer is so pervasive in these lands that you can have the flavor in many forms, from its traditional bubbly concoction to more stackable fudge.
The best way to enjoy this frosty treat is as a frozen slushy. Frozen Butterbeer is in Diagon Alley at the Fountain of Fair Fortune. It can also be found in Hogsmeade at any of the “street” carts throughout the area.
2. Footlong Corn Dog at Moose Juice, Goose Juice
How can you not stop and buy a footlong corn dog when you see one? This unwieldy and delicious snack is best for indulging in hotdog and corn batter flavors.
If your chief complaint about corn dogs is that they are never big enough, this is one of those must-have Universal Orlando snacks you can’t pass up. Find it at Moose Juice, Goose Juice on Seuss Landing in Islands of Adventure.
3. Flaming Moe at Moe’s Tavern
Springfield may be the most snackable place in Universal Orlando besides Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. There are some iconic snacks found here.
One experience you must add to your list is to drop in on Moe’s Tavern and have one of their Famous Flaming Moes. It’s just a lot of fun and a great way to participate in the Simpsons-inspired environment. It’s a non-alcoholic drink made with orange soda and dry ice in a specially designed cup for all ages.
4. Toothsome Milkshake at Universal CityWalk
Outside of the parks, there are plenty of can’t-miss Universal Orlando snacks. One must-do is to visit the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. This place is a full-fledged restaurant, but the chocolate and ridiculous milkshakes are the main draw.
Other places do over-the-top milkshakes, but not like they have at Toothsome. The fun and exciting varieties make a tough decision, but the Marshmallow Crisp was my favorite. It comes with vanilla ice cream, rice crispies, marshmallow fluff, fresh whipped cream, and Rice KrispiesĀ® treat.
5. Voodoo Doughnut Bacon Maple Bar
Finally, Voodoo Doughnut makes a perfect stop for your sweet tooth on Universal City Walk. There are a lot of fun and out there flavors, but for a must-have treat that satisfies, you can’t resist the Bacon Maple Bar.
With a thick layer of maple and a delicious salty strip of bacon, you will be in pillowy doughnutty heaven.Ā
6. Park Avenue Avocado Toast at Today Cafe
Avocado toast may seem a bit “basic” for a post about snacks, but this particular avocado toast is worth it. Made with mashed avocado, toasted cashews, shaved fennel, roasted tomatoes puree, lemon vinaigrette, arugula, and radicchio, the Park Avenue Avocado Toast is filling enough to be an entire meal.’
The toasted artisan French bread is the perfect, crunchy setting for all scrumptious ingredients.
7. Buffalo Chicken Tots at Green Eggs and Ham Cafe
Any tots covered and smothered at Seuss Landing could be on this list. Personal favorites include the pizza tots with pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, and buffalo chicken tots.
Green Eggs and Ham Cafe is also where you can find “Who Hash” which is corned beef, onions, white cheese sauce, scallions, and tater tots in a Who Hash can.
8. Loaded Nachos at The Feasting Frog in Universal’s Volcano Bay
Water parks can use up more energy than you think. Take a load off and refuel at the Feasting Frog at Universal’s Volcano Bay. Loaded nachos are one of the best snacks at Universal Orlando because they can easily be shared.
Topped with chili, cheese, sour cream, and jalapenos, these nachos are precisely what you want when ordering a snack like this.
9. Sundae on a Stick at Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop
No one wants to stop on a theme park vacation, but sometimes you need a cool, sweet treat to keep up that furious energy. Enter Sundae on a Stick from Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop.
Creamy vanilla ice cream hand dipped in chocolate and covered in your choice of topping.
10. Ice Cream from Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour in Diagon Alley
Lastly, another ice cream entry may seem redundant, but this one is unique. Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour offers typical ice cream flavors, but don’t settle for your usual.
Try a chocolate chili scoop in a waffle cone or an Earl Grey and lavender scoop in a souvenir glass for a uniquely Wizarding World experience.
