Winnie the Pooh Donuts Inspired by Disney’s Christopher Robin

My Winnie the Pooh donuts recipe requires two sets of ingredients. One set will make the donuts while the other set is for the “honey” glaze. It wouldn’t be a Pooh recipe without some honey!

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 C flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 C buttermilk
  • 3 tbsp unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
  • 1/4 C honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp fat free sour cream
  • Donut baking pan
  • Cooking/baking spray

Honey Bee Donuts inspired by Winnie the Pooh

Honey Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 C powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Honey Bee royal icing transfers (Found at Hobby Lobby)
  • 1 squeeze bottle

Whew! I know that seems like a lot of items to gather for this recipe, but hang in there! The end result is definitely worth the wait!

Winnie the Pooh Donut Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and spray a donut pan with pam baking spray.

In a standing mixer, whisk together the eggs, sugar, buttermilk, sour cream, melted butter, honey and vanilla until combined and smooth.Mixing Honey Bee Donut IngredientsIn a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and whisk until combined.

Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until completely combined.Winnie the Pooh Donut Batter in the PanScoop some batter into the donut pan, about 3/4 way full and bake for 12 minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the counter while you make the glaze.

Honey Glaze Directions

Using a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream and honey until smooth.

If the batter is thick and clumpy, mix in 2 more tablespoons of heavy whipping cream.
