Most guests don’t go to Disney World for shows. I believe they’re missing out! Both indoor and outdoor options are available, so no worries about being stuck outside for everything. In fact, I love checking out shows on my Disney World vacation simply for the opportunity to sit down for a bit, and occasionally get out of the elements! Check out this list of the best shows to see in Hollywood Studios at Disney World!

6 Must See Shows in Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios, formerly MGM Studios, is way too often overlooked when planning a Disney World vacation. With the recently opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and last year’s Toy Story Land, however, that has changed for most people. I believe these are shows in Hollywood Studios that you do not want to miss!

Hollywood Studios has several great shows to see on your next Disney World vacation! Don't miss these awesome shows on your next visit. They're a great break from the elements and all the walking! #disneyshows #hollywoodstudios #disneyworldtips

Disney Junior Dance Party!

The first show everyone needs to see at least once is the Disney Junior Dance Party! While it is geared toward the preschool crowd, it’s hard not to get excited about all of the fun characters and boppin’ tunes.

Yes, I did say the tunes were a bop. It’s hard to get those catchy lyrics out of your head! Bonus points: the show is indoors and it’s climate controlled. A perfect place to escape from bad weather at Disney World or the heat of Florida!

Indiana Jones Stunt Show

One of the BEST shows in Hollywood Studios has got to be the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Show Spectacular. This is a 30 minute extravaganza featuring stunt performers reenacting some of the most iconic scenes from the Indiana Jones movies.

One of the best shows in Hollywood Studios is the Indiana Jones Stunt Show.

My kiddos loved this one, but there are some intense moments with loud explosions and simulated gunfire. Just be aware of that if you are going with anyone that may be uncomfortable with those elements. You can use a FastPass+ selection on this one, but I wouldn’t.

Frozen Sing-Along

“For the first time in forever,” I’m wholeheartedly recommending this show. Sorry not sorry for the corny pun. The Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is just plain fun. Two citizens of Arendelle, the fictional kingdom where Frozen takes place, guide guests through the story of the first Frozen movie.

At just the right moment, the narrators stop and allow guests to belt out popular tunes like “Love is an Open Door” and “Let it Go.”

I haven’t seen the show since Frozen II came out, so I don’t know if they’ve added anything new. Shows begin at 10:30 am and are every hour on the half hour until 30 minutes before park close.

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast-Live On Stage is a 25 minute show featuring the best of the classic, animated movie. The costuming and scenery will whisk you away to the world of Belle and the Beast. Before you know it, you’ll be singing along with the songs you know by heart!

Did you know that this stage show premiered at Hollywood Studios the same day the animated film was released in theaters (November 22, 1991)? It was the first time that a stage show inspired by an animated film premiered the same day as its film! Kinda neat, huh?

Voyage of the Little Mermaid

Another show I love is Voyage of the Little Mermaid. This attraction has been around quite a while. It’s a bit of a nostalgic show for me.

Voyage of the Little Mermaid is a great show at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Combining live actors, animation, and puppets, this show is an abbreviated story of The Little Mermaid. Plenty of seating in the theater makes FastPass+ reservations unnecessary. You can find the theater by heading toward the Animation Courtyard. Hang a left after you pass under the Hollywood Studios sign.

Finally, you absolutely must end your night at Hollywood Studios by seeing the amazing Fantasmic! You will join Sorcerer Mickey as he takes you through several animated favorite features. You will see characters from Cinderella, Pocahontas, Aladdin, and Peter Pan in addition to some rarer characters too!

This 30 minute show is really one of the best in all of Walt Disney World. It is quite intense, and loud, so bring ear plugs if someone in your group is sensitive to loud noise.

This is a very popular show, so if you haven’t used up your FastPass+ selections, I would recommend using it here.

There are really no bad seats. If you was to get a particular seat, being first in line to the seating area will have its advantages.
